A seasoned banker with over 37 years experience in the financial sector of Bangladesh. During this long career, Mr. Husain held different senior positions in different private sector banks in Bangladesh including Additional Managing Director of Prime Bank Ltd. & 09 years as Managing Director & CEO in two reputed commercial banks namely Bank Asia Ltd. & NRB Bank Limited prior to joining at NBL as MD & CEO on December 09, 2021. He has vast knowledge & experience in the field of banking and economics. He possesses expertise in strategic business development, financial risk and people management. A post graduate in Economics from the University of Dhaka, he started his banking career in 1984 as the probationary officer with National Bank Ltd. He has attended numerous professional workshops and seminars at home and abroad. Mr. Husain is a member of Association of Bankers Bangladesh and life member of Bangladesh Economic Association. He is actively associated with various social organizations.
